There are some remain and drawing about cacao in mayan and Azteca civilization.
we can see the cultivation of cacao.
In 1502, coulombs saw the cacao beans. Mayan trader has it as trade things.
but coulombs didn’t have interested in it.
also cacao were used as money. In 1520, the value of cacao is
1 rabbit = 10 cacao beans
1 slave = 100 cacao beans
in 19 century currency has appeared. The role of cacao beans has finished.
Later drinks made by cacao were called “drinks for god”. It was regard as precious thing. but it is very bitter drink. People put starch into it to drink easily.
People drank it when they have finished eating.
it is 18 century cacao change the food like now days. in 1797 Japan, there are recode of chocolate which imported in Nagasaki. it was noted “shokurato six”.

cacao protect bad tooth. It is known that oolong tea and green tea has effect which prevent from bad tooth. But cacao has more effective for it.

And Belgium is famous country for chocolate. for the first time, this country made chocolate it called “Praline” which is very popular in the world. This is chocolate shops which Pierre marcolini started. he want us to feel the taste if we like eat chocolate in Belgium. he don’t want to change the taste depends on the place which eat his chocolate. In japan, first this shop was open in 2001 in Ginza. There are many kinds of chocolate and icecream. I like “manjari” . this is little bit bitter but smells good. The package which is used is very beautiful. It used only brawn color box and ribbon.
